Short Sales are something that I do not know a lot about but it sounds like a great opportunity for real estate investors. In my effort to learn more about this process, I ran across an article by Scott Daniels. It does not go into a lot of detail, but I think that is good for this point of my learning. It does go through a high level of an experience that he had with a short sale and suggestions if you plan to try one of these deals. Check out the article here.

As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, I missed out on a lot of potential savings when I purchased my first home. It was a foreclosure, but a bank owned one at the time. I missed out on the opportunity to purchase this home when it was at the Sheriff Sale for a discounted price.
One of the reasons I discovered what I had missed out on was an article that I ran across about buying foreclosed homes. David Zwierecki does a good job explaining how the process works and what to expect. Sheriff Sales can be an excellent oportunity to find investment properties and if this is something you are interested in, you should check out his article here.
